Think about it. Doesn’t the following description give you goose bumps?
“Passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It is more than just enthusiasm or excitement; passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind, body and soul into something.” (urbandictionary.com) Passion juices us and reminds us we’re on the right path, even perhaps effortlessly pulling us forward to achieving our dreams. We all know the feelings, we all can remember times when we felt really great about the people and things in our lives, and if you have any degree of sanity, you know that we sure all ought to want more of those experiences. But at the same time as we revel in the good feelings, we don’t stop to think about the ingredients. What qualities are actually involved to make us feel passionate? What are some conscious choices we could make to allow more passion in our lives? The View From Some Cards -- Sun sparkler Keyword, miracle The miracle of passion. The gift of passion is indeed a miracle. When you’re feeling so good about something, recognize it. Appreciate it. Celebrate it. Give thanks for it. Remember, they say what you focus on expands. So it’s about living your passion and it’s also about consciously celebrating the gift and the miracle of what you have found. -- Charmaine chartreuse Key sentence: “I never met a person I didn’t like.” In the fable, Charmaine, even in the face of often unfriendly town gossip, kept her focus squarely on things that made her happy. Among other things, she wore her silver hair modern and spiky, and her nails were the longest in town. Every two years, she even painted her house chartreuse. If what you want is that in your face, you can’t not help do anything else: follow her example and go for your passion! --Emaciated periwinkle, Keyword, Balance In the fable, young Periwinkle is a town favorite—he has a lot of friends, entertains the town’s children and is a happy-go-lucky young man. Given an offer to advance his acting career, however, he comes to focus solely on preparing for his opportunity, in the process abandoning his friends, forgetting his roots and even becoming so ‘emaciated” he needs to be forced to eat. In general, he’s a cool and well-liked guy, but let’s learn from his mistake. Passion is great; of course we should follow our highest calling and go for what we really want, but don’t get so focused on one thing you forget the rest; combine passion with the balance of other things, particularly including the important people in your life as they will only enhance your passion, in the process adding more love and passion to your life. -- Demon red rainbow Keyword, insecurity Time and time again, the main character in the fable needs to overcome his insecurities and self-doubts on the way to achieving his dreams. This is a card about staying on your path and remembering how important it is to do what you really want to do. Fears will come. Those insecurities are normal. Keep the faith! . -- Reggie rust Keyword, impasse In the fable, mythical Reggie appears from out of nowhere to block the path of two annoyed mountain climbers, in the process saving them from an oncoming avalanche. The fable and the card highlight that if you get stuck, there’s always a way to re-route. If one way doesn’t work out, a new and better path will. There’s more than one way to keep your passion alive. Enjoy.
