Card of the Month: Righteous Raspberry
Keyword: Foundation Key Sentence: “When Raspberry appears, remember that there is a distance between you and your desires. Are you throwing up road blocks? This week we'll explore how to navigate to the next level” or reconnect with our foundation (Tori Hartman). As you can tell from the name, Righteous Raspberry Is—exactly what you’d think-- a Berry. Actually she’s one of the most beautiful and among the sweetest berries in Fructown, and at bottom, she’s also really one of the most good hearted. But sometimes she ticks others off because she’s quite likely to let them know what she thinks of them. “Just last week she told Mrs. Orange, "I can't believe you dyed your hair that color and within moments told the Cantaloupes, "Your baby is too fat (Tori Hartman). You might get the idea—and you’d be right--thatRaspberry isn’t the most preferred in the Berry community. in fact, she’s something of an outcast, so she seeks the advice of her mentor and favorite Elderberry: “He looked upon her."You are lonely." A nod was all she could manage." “You've never been willing to be a Berry among Berries."You're too busy trying to be right. And, quite honestly, you're not very kind." And in that moment of transformation, Raspberry is brought back to her foundation. What’s most important to her? What makes her feel really good about herself and what does she need to do to know she’s being true to her fundamental values?? “From that day forth, Raspberry always looked for the unique qualities of other fruits and not for their bruises” (tori Hartman). It’s a sweet story, and It takes on particular significance at the time of the new year. If we’re not too hung over (just kidding), We’re making resolutions, we’re thinking about new beginnings, and we’re sorting the things we want more or less of in our lives. What’s most important? Foundational? Energizing? Most needed to boost and support us to keep our lives moving smoothly? Righteous Raspberry serves as a reminder to do what we need to do to reconnect with the things that are most important to us. What’s one thing you can do this week to learn from her story?
